Which length is the right one?
- 2 m for meditation, self-massage and as a scarf
- 2.7 or 2.8 meters are the usual lengths for rebozo massages.
- 3.1 m as a ring sling baby carrier

This rebozo is made of pure cotton. It has a nice texture yet is soft, and it will become even more comfortable over time.
It is woven on traditional pedal looms in Oaxaca. Each weaving is created thread by thread and requires a great deal of time, experience, and care.
Our collaboration with ANTAMA supports fair wages, strengthens local structures and helps to ensure that the textile knowledge of the communities is passed on.
A rebozo can be worn during pregnancy, childbirth, and the first few weeks with the child.
It supports the abdomen, relieves tension, promotes mobility and creates moments of peace.
During childbirth, it is used for various Rebozo techniques that relieve pressure, provide support and assist the body.

Is the rebozo soft or firm?
It is stable enough for rebozo techniques and becomes pleasantly soft over time.
Is it really handwoven?
Yes. It is made on pedal looms in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Why does it cost more than some alternatives?
Pure cotton, genuine handwork, and fair production are time-consuming. Many cheaper rebozos contain polyester or are machine-made.

What is a Rebozo?
The rebozo is a classic Mexican garment that has its origins in the Mesoamerican community. The word "rebozo" derives from the Spanish word "rebozar," which means "to wrap."
Rebozos come in different lengths and widths, but they all have some kind of beautiful pattern and fringes in common. They are usually between 1.5 and 3 m long.
They are therefore suitable as a scarf, for the Rebozo massage during and after pregnancy and as a ring sling for carrying babies.
Mexican midwives have used the rebozo for centuries to help women during pregnancy, labor, and after birth - and beyond.
Depending on the region they come from, rebozos have different colors and textures and different status in the community where they are used.
