NIRMI x Jolom Mayaetik

NIRMI baby carriers with handwoven patches by textile artists from the Mayan communities in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. In cooperation with the women-led cooperative "Jolom Mayaetik." Founded in 1995, the Jolom Mayaetik cooperative now unites over 250 weavers from 11 different regional groups who support each other. Participation in the cooperative offers the weavers an opportunity to earn a fair additional income through textile knowledge passed down from generation to generation.
