Hi, we’re Elisabeth and Christian – the team behind NIRMI!
During a journey with our two children through the highlands of Mexico, we had the privilege of meeting indigenous weavers. With incredible passion and centuries-old techniques, they create fabrics of stunning beauty – dyed, woven, and embroidered entirely by hand and without electricity.
In many other parts of the world, there are also artisans who preserve unique knowledge. We deeply admire this craftsmanship and are committed to supporting it. With the exceptional fabrics created by these artisans, you can personalize your NIRMI baby carrier. In doing so, you not only carry your baby close to your heart but also contribute to empowering women and fostering financial independence.
We work directly with women’s groups on the ground. They set their own fair prices, which we pay without involving intermediaries or importers. This way, we can preserve tradition, inspire change, and create something truly special – for you, your baby, and a fairer world.
